Peter Foley (born 10 September 1956 in Bicester, England) is a retired footballer. Born in England he went on to represent the Republic of Ireland at under-21 level. After retirement he managed numerous semi-professional clubs around Oxfordshire & Wiltshire. He is currently manager of Hellenic West Division side Easington Sports. Peter Foley is Oxford United’s joint fourth leading goalscorer of all time (behind Graham Atkinson, Tony Jones), along with John Aldridge with 90 goals in 306+15 apps. He also captained the Republic of Ireland under-21 national team and had to call out of playing Malta in the first team because Oxford had to play a vital match and he was needed in it.
